West Lake is another accident, being county land instead of state. Many people were camping here for the holiday. They have a recycling center in the park and boats to rent. The lake is ADA accessible which I haven't seen before. They do charge to use the beach, so that's a negative in my book.

Many people were camping here for the holiday weekend. There are various trails, some of them made for decent hiking.

Going on the name and GPS map, there must have been a large lake here at some point. I would have thought the park was named ironically, if the GPS had not have shown water where there was none. They plan to build cabins and various other projects to improve this park.

I got another early start today so the pictures are not great. There is camping, a few trails, and a beach on the lake. Those white spots in the pics must be pollen or something because it was NOT snowing here.

There are boats available for rent here. I found the water run-off to be interesting mostly because of the algae patterns within it. Apparently, they have had a few problems with disposal because there because there are signs instructing people to not put fish in the dumpster.

This park surely has hiking along bluffs which provide for a very nice view. A couple of eagles were circling the land below. I do not know why but there were dog kennels in this park. There were about a half dozen dogs caged up by an office.

SP Honey Creek

There are water activities here, but it is interestingly developed. They have golf, cabins, and a hotel. The hotel comes with bike rentals and a restaurant. I saw someone in a chef's outfit outside.
